Accor Unveils Major Investment in the Pacific

It has been revealed that Accor Pacific’s hotel partners have invested greater than AU$300 million in refurbishment development in the past 18 months, since the start of 2022. The renovations were said to have been in response to the ever-growing accommodation market, which has gained rapid competition.

Amid a travel surge, the demand for hotel occupancy has grown with it. Across its portfolio of over 400 properties in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and French Polynesia, Accor has invested significantly to keep up with the race.

Accor Pacific CEO, Sarah Derry, said that the company was proud to announce the delivery of upgraded facilities.

“It reflects the commitment of our partners to invest in Accor’s brands, which continue to deliver outstanding guest experiences. These renovations will not only enhance the overall guest experience, but also contribute to the economic growth and development of the local communities where Accor hotels, apartments and resorts are located,” said Derry.

Derry added that the response of the investment has been warmly met by consumers.

“Accor continues to prioritise guest satisfaction and aims to provide exceptional experiences that exceed expectations.”

Two brands to have been greatly impacted by the investment were MGallery and Sofitel, with the investment in MGallery Manly Pacific property among notable properties. The newly renovated hotel was officially unveiled in January 2023 with a new contemporary design theme and state-of-the-art facilities.

Accor’s Pacific properties account for 25 percent of room revenue for the region.
