IHG Hotels and Resorts recently celebrated the ceremonial groundbreakings of two new Atwell Suites properties in Henderson, Nevada, and Fort Worth in Texas.
Both hotels are projected to open in mid-late 2024 and join a rapidly expanding pipeline that will bring 35 additional properties and more than 3,500 rooms to the United States in the coming years.
Created to fill a growing need in the all-suites, upper-midscale category, Atwell Suites hotels are thoughtfully designed for guests seeking flexibility, discovery and kinship when they travel. Each hotel features guest rooms with distinct zones for work and rest, as well as a mix of private and shared public spaces to perfectly suit guests’ transition from productivity to leisure. Both the Henderson and Fort Worth hotels will extend Atwell Suites’ well-crafted design touches with unique surprises for guests to discover throughout, along with signature amenities, including complimentary hot breakfast, a 24/7 beverage station offering bean-to-cup coffee, sparkling water and tea, and a round-the-clock marketplace with snacks and travel essentials.
Located adjacent to both The Pass Casino and America First Center, Atwell Suites Henderson will anchor the ongoing redevelopment of the city’s Water Street district. In addition to 90 guest suites, the hotel will offer a pool and fitness centre, an inviting bar with small plates available in the evenings, and a TV lounge, board games and puzzles for further guest gathering and engagement.
Featuring 96 modern and inviting guest suites and amenities mirroring the Henderson property, Atwell Suites Fort Worth North is a short drive to both Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport and hundreds of corporate offices within the city’s central business district. The hotel will operate under the ownership of Sequoia Hospitality, a Texas-based developer whose portfolio includes an adjacent Candlewood Suites property in Fort Worth, likewise scheduled to break ground later this year.
Global vice president for Atwell Suites, Avid Hotels and Garner Hotels at IHG Hotels and Resorts, Karen Gilbride, said that the groundbreaking of the newest Atwell Suites hotels is just the latest milestone in an exciting and bright future for the brand’s expansion in the coming years.
“Both of these markets have emerged in recent years as destinations for business and leisure travel, making them ideal fits for guests seeking great design, productivity, relaxation or a bit of them all. We look forward to working with DeSimone Companies and Sequoia Hospitality, respectively, on successful builds and openings,” said Gilbride.
The Atwell Suites property pipeline is expected to expand to Las Vegas, Colorado Springs, and Cheyanne, Wyoming, later in 2023.
