Pär Christiansen has been appointed new Chief Financial Officer for Scandic Hotels Group. Christiansen will start his new position in March, and will be a member of Scandic’s Executive Committee. Åsa Wirén, who is currently Chief Financial Officer at Scandic Hotels Group, will leave Scandic.

With his solid experience from working as CFO and his other management positions at many large international companies, his expertise will be invaluable to Scandic’s expansion going forward,” said Jens Mathiesen, President and CEO of Scandic Hotels Group.
Most recently, Christiansen has been CFO at Euroflorist, a company that operates in 11 European countries. Prior to this, he was CFO at Clas Ohlson for around four years, he held management positions at international corporations including Gant, Transcom, MTR and SAS.

With strong finances and a leading brand, Scandic has great potential,” said Christiansen, newly appointed CFO at Scandic Hotels Group.
During the weeks before Christiansen assumes his new role, Scandic’s President and CEO, Jens Mathiesen, will act as interim CFO.
