New Director for Ritz Carlton

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis, has announced the appointment of Michael Cooper as the hotel’s Director of Sales and Marketing. Cooper joined the Marriott International brand in 2013. He has developed a track record of exceptional leadership and strategic decision-making across several markets. In this position, Cooper will work to elevate and drive the vision of the Sales & Marketing Department at the Forbes Four Star/AAA Four Diamond luxury hotel property in Downtown Clayton.

In his previous role of Associate Director of Sales at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, Cooper led the Sales & Marketing team to achieve record-breaking results over the past three years. Cooper has held numerous leadership positions, with his first role in the Sales & Marketing discipline as Senior Sales Manager at Salt Lake Marriott Downtown at City Creek before being promoted to the Destination Sales Executive (DSE) role. He continued to grow his career as he joined the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Arizona as the Destination Sales Executive (DSE) for the property, and across all professional endeavors, Cooper has developed an extensive understanding of the hospitality industry and refined his leadership skillset.
