Atlas Copco Acquisition

Prominent vacuum distributors in Mexico will officially join the Atlas Copco Group after a new acquisition. MEISA is Mexico's leading vacuum pump and related service company and prides itself on supplying high-quality products to industrial customers.

Founded in 1985 in Queretaro and Monterrey, Mexico, the company has grown exponentially and has become a key player in the vacuum industry.

“MEISA has been successfully serving the vacuum market in Mexico for a long time and has held the distributorship for the Leybold brand since 1986”, said Geert Follens, business area president of vacuum technique.

“Through this acquisition, we now create the opportunity to serve our customers directly and further strengthen our market presence in the country.”

As part of this acquisition, all 45 employees at MEISA will join Atlas Copco Group. The purchase price has not been disclosed, and the transaction is predicted to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.

The business will become part of the service division within the vacuum technique business industry.

Altas Copco Group is a Swedish industrial tool manufacturer that offers compressed air and vacuum solutions, energy solutions, dewatering and industrial pumps, industrial power tools, and assembly and machine vision solutions. The acquisition of MEISA will be a positive addition to its 53,000-strong team.
