Summer Patio Season

Patio

Four Seasons Hotel Toronto has announced the grand opening of its seasonal outdoor patio d|azur, located at d|bar by Chef Daniel Boulud. As summer in the city gets underway, d|azur invites guests to experience a slice of the French Riviera right in the heart of Yorkville. This year's opening has coincided with the completion of a multi-million-dollar renovation of all rooms and suites, which includes new curated art pieces. Dahae Song, a local Canadian artist showcased in the reimagined rooms, has created a vibrant mural prominently displayed at d|azur for the duration of the summer.

Paying homage to the Mediterranean coastline, d|azur has set the stage for warm weather with a fresh and flavourful menu based on wellness and its annual mural installation. Offering a relaxed al fresco dining experience, guests can indulge in coastal-inspired cuisine while admiring the distinctive mural by Dahae Song.

Dahae Song, a South Korean, Toronto-based interdisciplinary artist, brings her unique vision to the patio at d|azur. A self-declared visual philosopher, Dahae uses various mediums to push and pull time, painting the way a tree grows by externalising the internal and materialising the immaterial to mediate and bring together disparate realms. Dahae’s art objects are artifacts from a place non-existent, documenting a world unseen. They serve as an impetus to look inwards and contemplate this very moment that is forever fleeting us.

"The inspiration for the mural came from the Earth as I see and feel it. It’s a reflection on experiencing the beauty of nature and how the feelings of awe it gifts us with is evidence of love," said Dahae.

"I chose three hues of blues to represent the spirit of the Earth, captured in the air, light, and water of the lands we live and travel through. I hope my art offers a revitalising moment and a resting place within Toronto."

Complementing the paradisal atmosphere of the patio, the culinary team at d|azur has curated a menu full of fresh and wellness-rooted dishes. Highlights include inspired options made with premium seasonal ingredients. Guests can look forward to enjoying a variety of summer cocktails and mocktails, perfect for sipping while soaking in the ambience.

"We are excited to reopen d|azur and offer our guests an outdoor dining experience that captures the essence of the French Riviera," said Patrick Pollak, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Toronto.

"Between Dahae Song’s captivating mural and the seasonal menu prepared by our culinary team, we aim to create a memorable summer destination right here in the heart of Toronto."
