AUSTRALIA | QT Melbourne has embraced the winter season with an exclusive rooftop cocktail experience, The Snow Globe, backdropped by an impressive cityscape.
Whilst it won't snow in Melbourne this winter, QT Melbourne has created the next best option for travellers. The Snow Globe on Rooftop at QT is Melbourne’s first winter rooftop snow globe experience by QT Melbourne in partnership with Grey Goose Vodka.
On show until the 2nd of September, guests and Melbourne locals can revel in the magic of winter as the city’s skyline comes alive in a spectacle of snowflakes, with hourly shows running from 5:00 pm to late, Thursday to Sunday.
Rooftop at QT’s beverage programme has brought additional dramatic flair, with exclusive Grey Goose cocktails served with a fiery flambé or a frosty flourish, making for enviable Instagrammable moments.
Statement cocktails include the Flaming Blazer, served with a dramatic lick of fire (Grey Goose Vodka, Dewar’s 12-Year-Old Scotch Whisky, white peach and rosemary, caramel peach, bitters, nutmeg) and the Frosted Martini, stirred with a spectacle of liquid nitrogen (Grey Goose Vodka, anise myrtle oil, vermouth, lily pilly).
From cosy midday dining to late night grazing, QT Melbourne’s Executive Chef, Nic Wood has paired the cocktails to a menu boasting light bites reflecting the finest tastes of the season. Dishes on the specially designed menu include Braised Duck Croquette with plum puree; Spanner Crab Tartlet with chive, aspellete and lemon aioli; Abrolhos Island Half Shell Scallops with orange and fermented chilli butter; and a Classic Pacific Oyster with oscietra caviar.
For hotel guests that have planned to reside overnight, there are a range of winter accommodation packages at QT Melbourne to enjoy, including access and primary viewing to The Snow Globe on Rooftop at QT, complimentary Grey Goose cocktails, and a morning after à la carte breakfast for two.
