AUSTRALIA | A new high tea service at QT Sydney has embraced the city’s vibrancy and colourful playfulness, in partnership with dessert-expert Adriano Zumbo.

QT Sydney has upped Sydney’s high tea ante yet again, continuing its partnership with Adriano Zumbo. It is flipping the script on tradition with an updated plant-based and gluten-free QTea High Tea.

Guests can sink into sugar-coated abandon with sweets including pistachio Zumbarons infused with green tea, and Ciao Ciao tarts layered with salted coffee caramel, citrus pine nut cream, mylk chocolate whipped ganache, pine nut praline and raspberry reduction.

Savoury items include Bombay sandwich rice paper rolls, made with beetroot, potatoes, cucumber, tomatoes, onion, masala and coriander chutney, and an elegant twist on the patatas bravas.

“We’ve seen such amazing success from QTea High Tea, and I’m so excited to see this evolve and to deliver some exciting new flavours, sweet and savoury,” said pâtissier and MasterChef Australia guest judge, Adriano Zumbo.

Bottomless loose-leaf tea by The Tea Collection, including signature Burnt Blueberry blend, and a menu with over 60 Champagnes and cocktails are also available.

Making its debut in September 2022, QTea High Tea’s plant-based and gluten-free menu has continued to be a best-seller.

“We welcome our guests back again and again to QTea High Tea. The experience is second-to-none, from the location in our stunning Gilt Lounge to the mouth-watering sweets and savouries by culinary expert, Adriano Zumbo,” said David Sude, Area General Manager QT Hotels and Resorts, General Manager QT Sydney.

The launch of the gluten-free QTea was followed by the success of QT Sydney and QT Newcastle’s recognition at the NSW Accommodation Australia Awards for Excellence 2024.

The annual awards ceremony recognised the outstanding achievements and excellence within the accommodation and tourism industry by Accommodation Australia NSW. QT Sydney received the award for Best Marketing Campaign ‘You Live Here Now’, whilst QT Newcastle’s signature restaurant, Jana Restaurant & Bar, was Highly Commended in the category of Restaurant of the Year.
