JAPAN | Four Seasons Tokyo has announced an overhaul of its entire property, from new rooms to updated public spaces with a modern take.
Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi announced a transformative renovation beginning July 1, 2025, reimagining its rooms, suites and public spaces through the design lens of internationally acclaimed interior architect André Fu and his Hong Kong-based studio. Slated for completion by late March 2026, the project reflects a thoughtful evolution of the Hotel’s core identity: an intimate urban retreat where understated elegance meets highly personalised service.
During the renovation, accommodation floors will be closed, while the Hotel’s award-winning dining outlets, spa, and event and wedding venues will remain fully operational. Guests seeking overnight stays are invited to explore Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi, located just ten minutes away.
With just 57 rooms and suites, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi has long defined intimate luxury in the heart of Tokyo, offering a uniquely residential experience, just steps from Tokyo Station. Guided by André Fu Studio’s distinctive language of “relaxed luxury,” the upcoming redesign will deepen the Hotel’s sense of place, bridging tradition and modernity, cosiness and beauty.
Central to the vision is the concept of a contemporary manor, where modern Japanese aesthetics converge with the warmth of home. Upon arrival, guests will encounter a triple-height lobby conceived as a modern Japanese tea lounge, framed by washi panelling. Bespoke furnishings in muted rose and deep navy will complement sweeping window walls that reveal a contemplative rock garden, an oasis of calm within the city’s vibrant pulse.
Guest rooms and suites will evoke the atmosphere of a lifestyle retreat, transformed by warm woods, mid-century silhouettes, and a refined emphasis on craftsmanship, from cast bronze lighting to sakura floral marquetry. Every element reflects the Hotel’s ongoing commitment to thoughtful design and tactile beauty, creating a sanctuary where luxury feels both effortless and deeply personal.
While accommodations are enhanced, the Hotel’s celebrated culinary journey will continue uninterrupted. Guests are invited to discover SÉZANNE, the 3 Michelin star restaurant recently named fourth on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants List 2025 and 15th on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants List 2024. With a steadfast emphasis on gastronomic excellence and personalised service, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi remains a dynamic presence in the capital’s vibrant hospitality scene.
