Sofitel Wellington has introduced its Whisky & Wagyu Experience as a way to celebrate Father's Day in style.
This Father’s Day, Sofitel Wellington invites guests to treat Dad to an unforgettable evening of exceptional flavours, fine spirits, and elegant surroundings with a one-night-only Whisky & Wagyu experience in partnership with Cardrona Distillery.
Taking place on Friday, 5 September 2025, this indulgent three-course dinner celebrates the best of New Zealand’s culinary craftsmanship. Each dish has been carefully paired with award-winning Cardrona single malts and liqueurs, creating a tasting journey designed to delight both the palate and the senses.
The menu showcases premium local produce, headlined by the luxurious, melt-in-your-mouth decadence of Black Origin Wagyu beef, a true highlight for discerning food lovers. From the first pour to the final bite, guests will savour a seamless marriage of flavour, artistry, and New Zealand hospitality.
Priced at just NZD 99 per person, the menu features a welcome drink; an entrée of fire-grilled brioche with yakiniku, rare wagyu flank, smoked crab remoulade and caviar matched with Barrel Aged Pure Cardrona Source Gin; a main of chargrilled wagyu sirloin, gochugaru-cured yolk, pickled shiitake and parsnip crisp matched with The Falcon Single Malt Whisky; a palate cleanser of Sorbet d’Orange aux Éclats Pétillants paired with Rose Rabbit Orange Liqueur; and a Jardin Grill Ferrero Rocher dessert matched with Rose Rabbit Butterscotch Liqueur.
