CHINA| Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing, has announced that its bar Tiao has entered the list of Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026, continuing its presence as a key venue on the capital’s cocktail circuit.
Tiao has secured this recognition just two years after opening, firmly establishing Beijing as a distinguished cocktail destination on the global stage, showcasing contemporary mixology and innovation while also celebrating the city’s ancient roots, traditions and stories.
Its debut appearance on the Asia’s 50 Best Bars list reflected an evolving influence that extends far beyond Beijing’s historic neighbourhood lanes and captured the imagination of discerning travellers and connoisseurs from around the world.
Tucked discretely into the historic northeast corner of Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing, Tiao has occupied a beautifully restored, two-floor retreat where the communal warmth of Beijing’s historic Caochang hutongs comes alive.
Tiao's philosophy was anchored in a deep sense of place and traditional residential life, blended with modern artisanship. Under the guidance of Bar and Beverage Manager Miranda Xu and Head Bartender Matt Guo, the team has focused on local authenticity.
Delicate tea-infused spirits, for example, and subtle cultural flavours have been coaxed into refined cocktails that promise a feast for the senses. Luxurious Beijing-inspired bar food alongside creative drinks and cocktails invites guests to explore the city's life, both past and present.
To mark this milestone, Tiao has a curated celebration on the 29th of August, when, for one night, the bar will host an exclusive cocktail guest shift party.
Five of Asia’s top bartenders will take over the bar to craft unique cocktails for guests to enjoy. The event will offer an exclusive menu of tipples, pairing exceptional mixology with the charm and timeless atmosphere of Qianmen's most distinct drinks destination.
