Australia’s largest hotel operator, AccorHotels, has welcomed ibis Melbourne Swanston Street, formerly the Tune Melbourne hotel, to its expanding ibis network of premium economy hotels in Melbourne.

The 235 room hotel is located on Swanston Street, just two tram stops north of Melbourne’s CBD and 500 metres from the famous Lygon Street restaurant strip. Featuring a cafe, guest lounge, garden courtyard, self-service launderette, internet kiosks and car parking, the hotel will also welcome a new Thai restaurant mid 2016.

“We are excited to welcome our first guests to the rebranded ibis Melbourne Swanston Street, offering cost-conscious travellers a comfortable option in a convenient Melbourne location,” general manager of ibis Melbourne Swanston Street Sarah Baddams said.

“Now is a good time to take advantage of our red hot special opening offer for the best value ‘premium economy’ accommodation in Melbourne.”

To mark the occasion, the hotel is offering a $99 per night special opening offer, including WiFi, for the month of May.

ibis Melbourne Swanston Street joins AccorHotels’ pioneering premium economy brand, becoming the 3rd ibis hotel in Melbourne CBD, the 15th ibis hotel to open in Australia and the 65th nationally in the ibis megabrand family of ibis, ibis Styles and ibis Budget.
