Accor has shown off its newest Australian luxury hotel project. The $130 million Hotel Chadstone Melbourne, MGallery by Sofitel will open November 2019.
The 12-storey hotel holds 250 rooms and features a rooftop conservatory bar, swimming pool and wellness centre.
The property is targeting a five-star rating, and at this point is more than halfway through construction and the interior fit-out is underway. It’s also the first hotel in Australia to target a five-star Green Star design rating.
Inside, the rooms are kitted out with custom lighting, brass and leather finishes, Appelles amenities, and locally-sourced Victorian produce in the minibar.
“Hotel Chadstone Melbourne will be the leading Australian hotel to integrate some of the world’s best hospitality, lifestyle and luxury offerings at Australia’s number one retail precinct,” said Fiona Mackenzie, general manager, Chadstone.
“Guests will enjoy an opulent destination to prepare or pamper, depending on whether they’re visiting for business or leisure.”
When the hotel opens it will become the 11th MGallery hotel in Australia.
