TACO BELL POP-UP HOTEL SELLS OUT IN TWO MINUTES

Fast-food chain Taco Bell's venture into the hotel industry has proved a success, as all 70 rooms at the chain's temporary hotel sold out in 2 minutes.

'The Bell' will open its doors in Palm Springs, California from the 8th to the 12th of August, and will be fully Taco Bell-themed, featuring new menu items, a gift shop, and even hot-sauce floats and beach towels.

Booking opened on June 27th at 10 a.m. PT, and all 70 rooms were completely booked up by 10:02, at US$169 a night.

Guests will be able to get Taco Bell nail art, and take advantage of a special "happier hour" with cocktails and snacks. The company insists that The Bell is not a gimmick, but represents its first forays into the hotel industry.
