NEW DAY SPA IN ABEL TASMAN

Awaroa Lodge in the Abel Tasman National Park has established a Day Spa within its grounds opening to the public on December 14th.

"We are delighted to be able to offer a further reason to visit Awaroa Lodge," said lodge manager Julian Glass.

"Our wilderness location just a short walk from one of the most beautiful beaches in the region is the perfect setting to indulge in some rest and relaxation. Day visitors and in-house guests alike will be able to book in for treatments at the spa.”

The Day Spa’s resident therapist will be Tonya Ball. Originally from the UK, Ball has worked in several day spas in the Nelson Tasman region as well as in the role of spa manager overseas in resorts and onboard the deluxe National Geographic/Lindblad Expeditions cruise ship.

Treatments on offer include massages, body scrubs, and wraps, as well as facials using local Nelson company Oxygen Skincare.

Ball will also offer yoga to in-house guests, with private group bookings available.

The Day Spa will operate daily until Awaroa Lodge closes for the season at the end of April. Awaroa Lodge is managed by local company Capstone Hotels & Resorts.
