Could these gym pods be a solution to hotels wishing to still provide gym equipment to guests?
A Los Angeles-based gym has reopened post-lockdown with a slight makeover. Designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, gym members are now assigned to an individual exercise pod. This is of course after each person has sanitised, had a their temperature taken, and signed a waiver.
The pods have their own dumbbells and other equipment inside. They took three days to build using clear, plastic shower curtains and pipes. According to Peet Sapsin, the gym’s owner, it’s a lower-cost alternative to installing Plexiglas dividers.
As per usual practice, equipment is cleaned after each use.
