As a result of a new management agreement EVENT have announced the addition of a golf resort to its portfolio of properties. Previously known as Formosa Golf Resort in Beachlands, the resort is undergoing extensive multi-million dollar renovations to the course and facilities and is scheduled to reopen as Rydges Formosa Golf Resort in late November 2020.
The rebranded resort under the ownership of Beachlands South Limited Partnership features 50 one-bedroom refurbished villas dotted around the course which are also able to be configured into two-bedroom villas to suit larger groups. Backed by a Sir Bob Charles designed golf course, along with restaurant and bar, conference and onsite health facilities, this resort will be popular for day visits for a round of golf, events and larger groups.
Marcus Keenan has been appointed to manage the new property. Keenan, currently the general manager of Rydges Wellington, brings to the role his over 20 years’ experience in the hotel industry.
