SkyCity has further cemented its place as the number one entertainment destination for Auckland with the unveiling of a stunning new bar and live music venue in the heart of its Auckland casino.
Flare is a unique multifunctional space providing three very different experiences for SkyCity Auckland guests.
Chief Operating Officer Michael Ahearne says Flare is a casually elegant bar and lounge combining the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas with the down to earth service and hospitality of New Zealand.
“The front bar is an enticing location to connect and unwind in a glamorous environment with dramatic suspended gold sculpture ceiling fixtures and lighting, luxurious marble counters and arabescato white stone and brass detailing
“The sidebar is a relaxed and intimate environment with high seating, rich palettes of gold and maroon, splashes of red, jade velvet and dark stone perfect for a quick coffee catch up
“The back bar and lounge is a flexible and dynamic environment; a vibrant live entertainment space to celebrate and listen to live music or watch a game of live sport,” said Ahearne.
The name Flare represents a sudden burst of bright light reflecting a new location at SkyCity Auckland set to entertain and excite.
It is the showpiece of a $50 million upgrade of SkyCity Auckland’s gaming facilities designed to create world-class experiences for its domestic customers and (once borders reopen) international customers.
“SkyCity is proud to be working with the New Zealand music industry to support and showcase local talent, still feeling the effects of COVID-19 related cancellations and postponements
“Flare will feature a broad range of live music including acoustic/solo pop, soul/funk, jazz and R n B every Thursday to Sunday night.
“Every Wednesday night will be dedicated to up and coming talent, creating an opportunity for emerging artists from MAINZ and the University of Auckland to perform and develop relationships in the music industry,” said Ahearne.
Flare will be launched with a star-studded VIP party on Friday 30 October.
