Novotel introduces four new design concepts

Accor’s Novotel owner’s and franchisees will be able to choose from four new themes designed to upscale the brand from a standardised format to a destination-focused midscale leader.

Metro concept

The four winning concepts were selected from an international design competition to modernise Novotel’s style.

Each concept offers a base template that owners and investors can customise to suit its local market or destination.

The brief for the competition required ageless and intuitive thinking, paired with high-quality, sustainable materials and designs that reflect social change and current consumer trends across each major region of the brand’s presence. Design teams were invited to create concepts that would appeal as much to locals as domestic, regional and international travellers.

The four brand designs selected include:

RF Studio: Adaptable, sustainable, and easy to renovate, this concept creates a homey feel and unconventional atmosphere; guests discover a new way of hotel life by feeling like they’re at the heart of a village.

Metro: Modelled on Novotel’s ‘Time is on your side’, this modern design concept focuses on natural tones and raw materials, allowing guests to enjoy a multifunctional and flexible space.

Sundukovy Sisters concept

Sundukovy Sisters: This concept blurs business and leisure, mixing well-being and co-living spaces that embrace current trends and timeless comforts.

Hypothesis: Focusing on reducing physical waste as well as space and time, this concept allows guests to experience a balanced stay.

Accor Global Senior Vice President of Design, Damien Perrot, said the company pushed the boundaries of design to create modern and intuitive ideas, so the space, décor and every element has a purpose.

The new designs will be implemented across the Novotel network, beginning with properties in Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, Ukraine, Spain, Mexico and more.
