Archipelago, the largest privately-owned and independent hotel management chain in Southeast Asia, has expanded its Cuban portfolio with the opening of Grand Aston La Habana hotel.
Located in Cuba’s capital, Havana, the 600-room hotel is an urban oasis strategically situated in the city's economic heart, Vedado, close to offices, shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Vedado, also famous for its vibrant nightlife, offers guests easy access to a range of clubs and entertainment, such as La Zorra y el Cuervo, the Yellow Submarine, and the Cabaret Parisien.
The new Grand Astone La Habana has redefined modern living with unique architecture, fresh rooms, eclectic dining, extensive event spaces, and alluring wellness facilities, including a 24-hour gym and a swimming pool perched above the waves of Havana Bay. The interior design draws inspiration from the Havana style of the 1930s and the Asian refinement of Grand Aston.
The hotel's Wellness Centre by Spa Ubud offers guests the opportunity to experience relaxing massages with authentic Balinese techniques. The hotel will also be the first in Havana to house a bank branch (BFI).
"We're delighted to be opening what will become a true icon in the Havana hotel scene,” said John Flood, President & CEO of Archipelago. “One of the most creatively designed hotels is ready to welcome guests to experience the fusion of Asian and Cuban hospitality in a fantastic location."
