Introducing Doubletree By Hilton Karaka

Hilton has opened the doors to its fourth DoubleTree by Hilton in New Zealand, Doubletree By Hilton Karaka, to domestic and international travellers.

The newest DoubleTree property is the first full-service hotel in the Karaka region. Strategically located on Auckland’s untouched and unique outskirts, it is close to Auckland airport, the world-renowned New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Sales Centre, and the scenic Kara countryside, making it the perfect picturesque getaway.

The Hotel Offering

DoubleTree by Hilton Karaka features 122 well-appointed guestrooms and suites, each offering Suite Dreams by Serta beds, 55 inch HD televisions and relaxing rain showers.

The new hotel also offers an array of event venues tailored to today’s traveller’s evolving corporate and leisure needs. The event venues showcase a cocktail reception and corporate meeting area with adaptable meeting spaces lit by natural sunlight and equipped with state-of-the-art AV technology.

Sharing the grounds with the New Zealand Bloodstock sales centre also provides flexibility for private and outdoor events held in concert with its facilities, housing up to 600 guests.

Farm-to-table Restaurants

Situated just minutes away from local farmers’ markets, DoubleTree Hilton Karaka features two onsite restaurants. The menus are created by celebrity chef Mark Southon and use fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.

The Ethereal | Artisan Kitchen offers guests to experience behind-the-scenes action with a live kitchen. For an authentic heartland experience, a curation of local and international wines paired with hand-picked delicacies is available.

The HorseShoe Bar features an outdoor seating arrangement with open fireplaces and a modern, seasonal cocktail list. The Pool Bar is also available as a seasonal offering for guests partial to the sunshine.

“DoubleTree by Hilton Karaka is excited to welcome guests from all over New Zealand to experience the breath-taking beauty of the countryside,” said Fabian Dewelle, General Manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Karaka. “DoubleTree by Hilton Karaka’s premium hospitality experience with its unique restaurant will encourage Kiwis to explore their own backyard and the best produce that it has to offer.”

Explore Karaka

Nestled amongst the rural charm of Karaka in the North Island of New Zealand, guests can explore the farmland with an action-packed itinerary set.

“You can start the day with a farmers market, enjoy a horseback ride across the black sands of Karioitahi Beach and take the perfect selfie in the Lavender Fields before unwinding in the pool at DoubleTree by Hilton Karaka,” said Dewelle.

“It is an untapped part of Auckland that lends itself to a weekend retreat away from the city, to refresh the senses.”
