Tru by Hilton Opens First Hotel in the Caribbean and Latin America

Tru by Hilton has opened the doors to its first property in Brazil, Tru by Hilton Criciúma. This hotel also marks the brand’s first property in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Owned by Próspera Empreendimento and managed by ICH Administração de Hotéis, the new hotel is located near Parque das Nações Cincinato Naspolini and ten minutes away from the bustling heart of Criciúma.

Tru by Hilton Criciúma was developed using consumer and owner feedback according to the revolutionary brand’s promise of a simple, affordable and spirited stay rooted in value.

“Tailored to meet the region’s needs, Tru by Hilton Criciúma includes elements of our new innovative Caribbean and Latin America prototype. Tru’s easy and efficient-to-build prototype has made the brand a favourite of owners, and we are thrilled to start a new chapter in the brand’s history with this milestone opening,” said Talene Staab, global brand head, Tru by Hilton.

The newly opened hotel includes all the essential amenities and experiences, including comfy beds, small yet efficiently designed rooms, large bathrooms stocked with premium bath amenities and in-room entertainment. The lobby features areas tailored to both work and leisure and is fitted with free Wi-Fi, remote printing, tablets and accessibility to outlets everywhere. Travellers can also indulge in the complimentary build-your-own “Top It” breakfast bar with healthy, sweet and savoury items and a 24/7 “Eat. & Sip.” market with gourmet snacks and drinks. Additionally, Tru by Hilton properties boast fitness centres leveraging the latest trends, including barre, free weights, cardio, and flexibility gear.

Currently, Hilton has over 240 hotels in the pipeline, with Tru by Hilton planning to continue to expand its footprint in the Caribbean and Latin America.
