The Fresh Faces of Nanuku Resort, Fiji

World-class Nanuku Resort, located along the coast of Fiji’s main island Vitu Levi has announced the appointment of three key personnel into its impressive hospitality fold.

The multi-award-winning resort has welcomed California-based Stu Luchs as North America Sales Manager to handle its business development across the United States and Canada. Before joining Nanuka resort, Luchs worked with firms such as Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji, Dunton Life Properties and Ted Turner Expeditions. Under his namesake hospitality consulting company, The Luchs Groups, Luchs integrates his commercial expertise with care for the environment - recently earning a certificate in sustainability from the University of California. To the role, Luchs will bring both a passion for luxury properties and a dedication to his clientele.

Highly-regarded Misiwata Namali has taken the helm at Nanuku Resort as the new Head Chef. Namali first began his culinary journey as a chef de partie at Fiji’s Shangri-La Resort, perfecting his skills as a pastry chef and sous chef before attaining executive chef stature. With his love for internationally-inspired Pacific Rim and passion for cooking, Namali will drive the resort’s exceptional culinary reputation with locally-sourced fresh, organic and seasonal produce.

Marine Scientist Kelly-Dawn Bentley has rejoined Nanuku Resort in her new role as Sustainability Manager. A Fijian national, Bentley graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Postgraduate Diploma in Marine Science from the University of the South Pacific. Her strong allegiance to ‘responsible luxury’ has earned the resort many sustainability awards, making Bentley’s position key to the brand’s ethos and core values. Famous for her work with Nanuku’s coral planting, reef conservation, mangrove tree planting and shore protection, Bentley will actively oversee the launch and coordination of targeted initiatives. Not only protecting the local marine ecosystem but also preserving the resort’s minimal environmental footprint and improving the livelihood of resort staff and local communities.

“This marks an exciting time for Nanuku Resort. As we continue our deep-seated focus on sustainability, our newest team members enable us to escalate our commitment across all touchpoints, both on and off the resort,” said Logan Miller, General Manager, Nanuku Resort. “Stu Luchs, Misiwata Namali and Kelly-Dawn Bentley bring a wealth of experience in their respective fields, adding even more strength to Nanuku’s highly skilled and spirited personnel.”
