World-leading hospitality group Accor has signed a cooperation agreement with Azerbaijan Hotel Association. The collaboration will see both parties work together to advance the reputation of Azerbaijan as a growing tourism, business and investment market.

"Azerbaijan has boundless tourism potential and is able to compete with the most popular global destinations, and we hope that opening more hotels under well-known international brands will increase its popularity," said Alexis Delaroff, COO of Accor New East Europe. "We are currently setting up development plans considering Azerbaijan's sea and mountain resorts as well as new projects in Baku."

Accor is a top three global leader in resort hotels comprised of 5,300 properties across 110 countries with over 40 luxury, premium, midscale and economy hotel brands.

The Group's current portfolio in Azerbaijan includes two hotels: Fairmont Baku, located in the city's iconic Flame Towers and ibis Baku City, one of Accor's first ibis hotels to feature the new global design concept, Agora, when it debuted in July 2021.

In the near future, Accor has plans to introduce other brands in Azerbaijan, as it is one of the key markets for its development in the region.
