First Look Inside New Son Bunyola Hotel

Birds eye view of hotel

Development of a historic Finca building in Mallorca, dating back to the 1500s, is officially underway. To become a brand-new 26-bedroom hotel, the highly protected building will be amongst Sir Richard Branson’s luxurious collection of award-winning hotels and retreats. First-look designs are available for the first time before its opening, allowing guests to take a sneak peek of what to expect come August 2023.

Indoor dining area

In the Tramuntana region of Mallorca, Son Bunyola Hotel is located on the stunning 810-acre Son Bunyola estate. The estate is part of the Virgin Limited Edition portfolio and is home to three stand-alone villas: the Sa Punta A’Aguila, Sa Terra Rotja, and Son Balagueret. The beautiful estate is positioned on a UNESCO World Heritage site, surrounded by vines, and almond, olive, and citrus fruit trees. The grounds are rich with 16th-century history; therefore, retaining the Son Bunyola’s original structure was key to the restoration process from June last year.

Indoor hotel room

The Son Bunyola Hotel will proudly showcase the building’s history. It will comprise the Finca and Tafona, which previously contained the olive press. Alongside will be several annexes with luxury rooms and suites, including two exclusive suites in the Tafona with terraces and Tower Suites with 360-degree mountain and sea views.

Two restaurants will be available: a tapas restaurant, lounges, many outdoor dining terraces, and a great swimming pool with countryside vistas, including Mallorca’s famous Foradada.

Bookings are officially open for guests to be some of the first to experience the magic of Son Bunyola Hotel in the summer of 2023.
