Aloft Hotels Develop in Singapore

A design-led hotel by Marriott is set to be opened in Singapore in the third quarter of 2023. The location of hotel will be in the cultural district of Balestier and will include 785 rooms. The hotel will be part of Marriott’s Aloft Hotels brand.

The current site has been transformed into a hotel after an agreement was signed by Hiap Hoe Ltd, in association with HH Properties Pte. Ltd will consist of two towers in part of the Zhongshan Park area.

Hiap Hoe Limited Chief Executive Officer, Teo Ho Beng, said the company is thrilled to welcome the Aloft Hotels brand to Singapore for the first time.

“Aloft Singapore Novena expects to feature a contemporary and dynamic space that caters to the needs of design-savvy, next-generation travellers and locals. We are excited to provide an urban-inspired gathering place that embodies the Aloft brand’s unique personality and energy, tailored for individuals who value boldness, style and connectivity.”

Amenities in the hotel will include a state-of-the-art gym and pillarless outdoor pool, modern event spaces, and an on-site restaurant and dining area. 

Marriott International Market Vice President for Singapore and Maldives, Gautam Bhandari, said the signing of Aloft Singapore Novena would be the 14th location for Marriott in the region.

“We are delighted to be launching the Aloft brand in the country with such an experienced partner as Hiap Hoe Limited,” said Bhandari.

“With the site’s proximity to the city’s Central Business District as well as to local attractions and green spaces, the location is strategically placed to enable us to attract both business and leisure guests.”
