SO/ Auckland's in-house spa has announced its line-up of Spring packages designed to detox, revitalise, and reboot guests for summer. All the treatments include the recently opened pre-treatment lounge, fitted with its own Himalayan salt wall designed to reground and offset the effects of modern urban living.
The Detox package at SO/ SPA includes a full-body Himalayan salt scrub and wrap, followed bu a specialty massage that uses smooth heated stones of Himalayan salt to rebalance energy levels and de-tense tight muscles.
A tailored Skin Regimen facial promises to leave skin feeling fresh, hydrated, and supple. "Halotherapy, or salt therapy, is a great restorative process," said SO/ Well naturopath Amelia Pells. "Himalayan salt is rich in trace minerals, and when used topically the molecules attract pollutants and water which makes it a great detoxifier as it flushes out toxins from your body and through the pores of your skin."
The Urban Detox facial also offers a great way to kick start a spring wellbeing regime. With key ingredients like the superfood chlorella, which detoxifies pollutants and heavy metals, and plant-based charcoal and clays that absorb environmental impurities, this is a must-have for revitalisation.
