Shangri-La Group has announced the retirement of Group CEO Lim Beng Chee after almost six years of leadership and success. He will step down from the Group CEO position on 31 December 2022 and remain a member of the Board of Directors of Shangri-La Group and the China World Trade Centre.
Throughout Beng Chee's six years of tenure, he has helped establish a solid and resilient organisation to drive the transformation and growth of Shangri-La.
The Group is currently actively identifying the new Group CEO and will make announcements in due course. Meanwhile, Shangri-La Group Chairman Hui Kuok will work with the executive team to oversee key decisions and ensure business continuity. A robust management structure is also in place for a seamless transition of operations.
